Good, needs some refinishing
B.N. Morris wood & canvas canoe serial number 15281 which I’ve been told makes it likely to have been built between late 1917 and 1918. When I first acquired it the canvas had been painted very badly and the varnish was in pretty bad shape. The canvas and varnish were refinished in 2011. Everything is original except for the thwarts which have been remade and the seats have been re-caned. It has been stored inside except for the last year. The varnish on the decks and gunwales is in need of some refinishing. The canvas is in good shape except for some minor paint dings and could use a new coat of paint. The center section of the keel is a bit soft and could use a little repair. In general it is in very good shape and amazing that so much of it is original.
