I was told it was purchased new in the early 1900's... Canoe is a classic "Walter Dean" design... Famous Canadian small boat and canoe designer... This one was built by the "Brown Boat Company" in Lakefield, Ontario, Canada. They were established in 1887, I believe, and built boats into the early 1900's. I am the second owner. It has sail mast and two double blade paddles, both with beautiful cupped blades. It also has original folding lee boards.
In very good condition with some age related patina, as shown in photos. 3 ribs have also been replaced.
