Old Town Otca
Wood/Canvas
16ft

$2,000

Excellent Restored

This is an Old Town Otca 16' wood/canvas canoe, made in 1938, serial # 125853-16. It was completely restored in August 2020. The color is a deep green.

It was made with red cedar siding, white cedar ribs, spruce inner rails, ash outer rails, and birch seats, thwarts, and decks. The seats are caned by hand. It has the coaming style decks and a full keel. It's covered with the traditional mudded and painted canvas like it did when it came from the factory, except the canvas was treated with a mildewcide to give it long life. It was covered with marine grade varnish and paint.

I have been restoring canoes since the early 80's, and always use traditional materials: silicon-bronze bolts, screws, and nails and brass tacks.

$2000, cash only please.

The Otca is an excellent paddling canoe, and with reasonable care will last many generations.
