1952 Old Town 16' Square-Stern Wood/Canvas Canoe — Professionally Restored — $8,900 OBO
Beautiful 16-foot Old Town square-stern wood-and-canvas canoe, believed to be a 1952 model.

The serial-number stamp appears to read 158318 16, which corresponds to a 1952 16-foot Old Town square-stern canoe in the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association's Old Town records. The recorded boat had a four-foot forward deck and was originally finished in dark green; this canoe is currently gray.

The canoe has been professionally restored and is in excellent condition. The interior woodwork, ribs, planking, seats, decks and gunwales are particularly attractive.

Included with the canoe:

Yamaha F6SMHA 6 HP four-stroke outboard
Fully functional trailer
Wooden oars and oarlocks/hardware
The Yamaha was purchased new in 2018 and, according to the previous owner, was run for less than 4 hours before being stored. I acquired it this summer. It is exceptionally clean inside under the cowling. The Yamaha identification plate is photographed and shows model F6SMHA, serial S1027720.

This is a beautiful, unusual and very usable classic Old Town square-stern canoe—not simply a restoration project.
