Offered for sale is a beautiful 16-foot Old Town OTCA wood and canvas canoe with documented factory history.
According to the Old Town build records, this canoe was originally shipped on March 2, 1923, as a 16’ OTCA model in CS grade with a dark brown finish to a destination in New York. The records also indicate it returned to the Old Town factory where it was re-canvassed on July 22, 1923.
The canoe is structurally sound with no soft ribs and presents beautifully. The canvas and varnish are in very good condition, making it ready to enjoy or proudly display. It includes two wooden paddles.
I purchased the canoe several years ago from a family who told me it had come from a long-held family retreat in Canada. I used it once as a prop for a portrait photography project and have since kept it stored indoors.
Documentation from the Old Town build records will be provided to the buyer.
