This canoe is a 17 ft. Penn Yan Rainbow with original spruce trim, serial number RCS 24 S, believed to be pre-1948. In the 1960's and '70's it served as the family camping canoe. In the late 1980's it underwent a thorough restoration with varnish, minor wood repair at the bow, re-canvas, and paint. Since then, it has been carefully garaged but not used. The general condition is very good. Two small varnish drips near the gunwale on one side.
Time has come to hand off ownership and hopefully return it to the water.
