Canots Rhéaume is a Quebec-based canoe builder founded in 1986, specializing in handcrafted cedar canoes rooted in tradition and built for real-world use. Our cedar canoes are constructed using time-honored techniques, combining carefully selected wood, precise craftsmanship, and durable finishes to create canoes that are both beautiful and functional. Each canoe reflects a balance between heritage aesthetics and modern reliability.
Over the years, we have remained committed to preserving the spirit of wooden canoe building while adapting to the needs of today’s paddlers. Our canoes are used not only for recreation, but also in demanding environments, including outfitting and northern applications. At Canots Rhéaume, we take pride in building canoes that honor tradition while standing up to the realities of modern use.
