Some say Joseph Ranco was the inventor of the canvas canoe. A builder of both birch bark and canvas canoes and a Maine Native American, Joseph Ranco built canoes from the 1890's to the 1900's.
This is a 16 to 17 foot museum quality canoe.
Bought from the Squam Lake area of New Hampshire in 1970.
This has been stored in the barn for 50 years and is still unused to this day. Should be in a museum. Untouched.
