This is a fully restored vintage wood/canvas canoe. It is a BN Morris, 17' Model B with 24" elongated decks and extensive mahogany top wood. It is a great collector's item and very rare. The factory that built them burned down in 1919 and was not rebuilt. Much of their leading technology and designs were picked up and implemented by other canoe manufacturers. This restoration has brought the canoe back to a like new condition. It has new canvas made from Dacron that will not rot. I has been applied in the same manner as the original cotton covering. It has not been fiber glassed. All the ribs and planking are in good condition. It is a grand show piece as well as a great functional unit. It could with reasonable use and care last for another 100 years. Being all white in color allows the new owner to create and apply a new emblem or decoration at their option. There is a metal plate on the front floor with a serial number 13410 which can be used to substantiate the date of manufacture.
