B. N. Morris
This is my B.N. Morris serial # 5298.
There is very little information available on this canoe other than the serial number indicates that it is probably a circa 1908 model.
This old Morris and another Old-Town I found on a rubbish burn pile about 35 years ago in New Jersey. She is complete and comes with inner flooring, the cap rails and most of the fittings. I had to replace a section of the inner whale on the port front, but saved the old wood. The seats and thwarts have been refurbished with new cane woven into the seats. I have also steamed in eight new half frames to replace the more serious broken ribs. There are a few very tight cracks in a few frames but I thought more damage would be done by replacing them.
The canoe is straight and the wood and fastening in good shape. Old fiberglass has been removed and the canoe needs canvas and stem bands.
The canoe is in central Missouri and more pictures and information can be seen on my web site at
