Vintage class Old Town Otca 17’ canoe. Grade CS. Serial # 51229. Built in 1917, revarnished in 1937, professionally restored in 1997 by Old Town Canoe in Maine. Family owned for 3 generations and used leisurely on Lake Alamoosook in Maine. Auburn Native American stripe over khaki canvas to exact details from 1915 catalog. Monogram of original owner “WHG’ on bow. Open Aspen Spruce gunwales with 20 inch Birch decks and low coaming. It has Cedar planking ribs, 3 caned seats and original hardware. Modern extras include 2 polypropylene support rowing seats, 2 new wooden scalloped paddles and trolley to transport canoe from car to water.
You will turn heads as you paddle this magnificent piece of craftsmanship. It would also be beautiful as a piece in the home, office, museum or restaurant.
